You Can Save Someone in Sudden Cardiac Arrest

Abstract

CPR (cardiorespiratory resuscitation), may save someone in the throes of a heart attack, but it is not enough by itself to buy time for someone in sudden cardiac arrest. Unlike a heart attack, which is the result of a blockage, it’s a spontaneous interruption of the heart’s normal rhythm and needs to be corrected with an electric jolt.
