Glucosamine & Chondroitin Don’t Help Most with Osteoarthritis

Abstract

The largest study yet of glucosamine and chondroitin, supplements popularly thought to fight arthritis pain, has found no clear benefit for most patients. Results of the Glucosamine/Chrondroitin Arthritis Intervention Trial (GAIT), funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), were reported at the annual scientific meeting of the American College of Rheumatology.
